My dad was born in Calf Hay Shore, the eldest of 7 children. He spent most of his life in Littleborough, a lover of people, all sports especially Manchester United, music he loved Nat King Cole and all the oldies, travel, animals and breeder of birds; mainly cockatiels and budgies, he even taught a budgie to talk once. When I was a child he had a pet sparrow which he found as a baby and reared it not many can boast of doing that! My dad was a very special person and I have many happy memories, we had our augments like all families do but I loved him so much and will miss him forever. To summarise my dad in a sentence he was a big man with a big heart and to know him was to love him, he was my everything and until the day I die, I shall always love and miss him dearly.
